Maxeler designs, builds, ships and maintains large Linux-based supercomputers that solve scientific, seismic and financial computing challenges.

We are funded directly by customers which are in the domains of Oil & Gas, Finance, Automotive/Aerospace and Biomedical computing -- industry and academia.

Culture

At Maxeler you'll be working in small groups (2-4 people) in a collegial and casual environment. We offer flexible working hours with a focus on what you do and not when you do it. We expect new hires to quickly rise to the challenge of taking responsibility, communicating efficiently, and growing with tasks and projects as we conquer additional market and opportunities.

Since our customers are distributed internationally, we occasionally provide opportunities to travel to a wide variety of destinations such as Paris and the south of France, Oslo, Barcelona, the east and west coasts of the US, Japan, and many other locations.

While everyone has their own specialisms, Maxeler's engineers are able to switch seamlessly, for example, from profiling and optimising Linux device drivers to analysing a client's proprietary application to determine the best way to achieve an order of magnitude speed-up.
