New Amazon EC2 F1 instance bringing Maxeler Maximum Performance Computing to The Cloud

(following up the recent announcement by Amazon Web Services)

Performance brings competitive advantage. The new Amazon EC2 F1 instance, the first of its kind, allows AWS customers to use customizable hardware to push the limits of the possible, which was previously only a luxury for the largest enterprises.
Maxeler has been helping Tier 1 banks, exchanges, and government agencies to solve mission critical computational challenges. Maxeler’s migration service for AWS EC2 F1 brings ultra high performance applications to the cloud while supporting an easy migration path via a hybrid public-private cloud architecture with Dataflow Engines on-premise, connected to Amazon EC2 F1 cloud instances.
Maxeler’s first AWS Marketplace offering to leverage Amazon EC2 F1 will be Financial risk applications for CVA and SIMM calculations, helping a wide range of banks to calculate counterparty default risk charges as well as margin for non-cleared trading. “After my 25+years in the Capital Markets, I am not only excited but quite proud to be bringing Maxeler together with the finance and trading communities in the Cloud.” says Adam Sonin, Maxeler’s Global Head of Distribution.
On a wider level, Maxeler’s shows the multitude of possibilities when combining the Amazon EC2 F1 instance with Maxeler’s ecosystem of tools, components and libraries.
