Maxeler Technologies is pleased to have been shortlisted for the IET Innovation Awards 2012. Maxeler’s entry MPC-X: A scalable supercomputing fabric was selected out of 420 applicants as one of the 5 shortlisted entries in the Electronics category.

Maxeler’s new MPC-X series dataflow nodes enable the next step in the adoption of heterogeneous dataflow computing by providing multiple high performance dataflow engines as shared resources on the network, allowing them to be used by applications running anywhere in a cluster. “Dataflow as a shared resource” brings the efficiency benefits of virtualization to dataflow computing, while each MPC-X node delivers 50x the performance of a standard CPU server.

The final winner for the award will be announced on 22nd November at an IET dinner in London.
